Upon my Dream

One night, I was sitting at the back of a bus, heading to the town. I was lucky to have a single seat that night, near the window at the left side of the driver. I saw a girl at the right side of mine talking on the phone. Even thought I can’t really hear the conversation but I guess she was talking to her father. I can saw the mist in her eyes at one glance with the help of the road lamp, once the bus pass through.

At the same time, a man behind me also was doing the same thing, talking to someone that he love most at that moment. It’s not my intention to hear others talked, but sometime looking or hearing to people around can make us realize how reality actually is. After a few hours, the surrounding getting quit, no more sounds of people chatting and no major movements can be seen. They were all sleeping, only the bus’s engine can be heard and only I, as a passenger, couldn’t yet fall asleep.

What does it mean to be important? How should we act to someone that is important? Who gonna be the one that is important?

I imagine my parent face, their smile that can comfort me of all problems that I faced. They don’t really solve my problems, but they always there to make me strong. Scene by scene appeared and there were parts that I remember being a disgrace son, talking louder and ignoring their advices. Are they really important? But why can I act this way to the one that is so important?

The stars outside shining brightly while the time now 1.15 am. This reminds me about her. She really loves to see the stars and she would smile happily as none of worldly business can bother her. She said she love me, and I replied I love you too honey. But then something happens. Our love was not as bright as the shining stars and we break apart. She was so important to me, once, but why this kind of ending should we faced? Is it because my act doesn’t reflect of how important she is to me?

The driver’s voices waken me up. It seems my destination has arrived because he just shouts ‘Greenwood’ just now.

While waiting for a friend to fetch me, I take out my phone, scroll down the phonebook looking for a name and start dialing.

From the other side of the line, I heard a women voice answering the call, “Hello?”
With smile on my face, I happily answered “Hello mom!”
